I'm purchasing a 90 or 120 gallon tank. What size canister would you recommend for these 2 setups. I only want to run one canister filter. My bioload will be medium to heavy. Thanks for any input.

Honestly, Depends on someones price point.

On a 120, with a heavy bio load i ran 2 Eheim 2028's and 3 emperor 400's.

Eheim is a great brand, more expensive at the start but better quality. If you are looking to lower your price point. I have seen some fluval FX5's on ebay new for about 175-200.00

Do you think that 1 fx5 would be ok for that size tank or would it be overkill.
