Hello,
Can someone Please recommend some different brands or maybe even models of a canister filter for a 29g Tank? Thanks.

PS. Could this model turn back on if the power went out?
 
The Rena XP models have always worked well for me. Should be fine for your tank depending on your stock.
 
Eheim. 2215 possibly is you like over filtration.
 
has to be rena. save you big $$$ in the end. xp1 would be fine, but if your crazy like all of us, then do an xp2 or even a xp3 lol!!! have fun
 
In the long run a Rena will cost more because it will die long before the eheim will. I'd highly recommend the use of either an eheim 2213 or 2215.
 
havent been in the hobby long enough to have a real impact
but id say an ehiem 2215 from the people ive asked they use less electricity savin u money in the long run
