The intake line on my magnum canister filter is starting to look really retched, and I was wondering how you clean a piece of tubing that long, or if most of you just replace it from time to time, or don't even worry about it. My main reasons for wanting to do so is 1. so I don't have to worry about flow restriction, and 2. don't ahve to worry about bad bacteria starting up...

I do have one of those, but my tubing is probabbly closer to about 3 feet long or so. so it won't reach all the way. thanks
keep em coming please

You're kidding me, right? You have 36" hoses and the brush is 22" long. So, you use the brush at both ends to give you 44" of cleaning distance.

Howdy,

I use electric wire (in your case use 7ft), and thread an old piece of cloth thru one end. Take the two ends of the wire, push them thru the hose til they come out on the other end, and then pull the cloth thru.
