I am thinking of trying some new things as far as filtering my tank since I will be getting my 540 shortly and would like to get the best possible set up i can. I know fluval came out with a FX-5 not to long ago. 900gph 400 gal max. looks like a great canister, i figure on my 225 would work fantastic. but they are like 300 bucks. for the same amount i can get that bio- rocker from fosters and smith. my wet dry i built works really well but my friend swears by his twin 404's. wondering everyone elses opinion on what is better.

i would stick with wet dry and get the bio rocker im in the process of saving up for one i cant stand my fluval canister im switching it to a eheim very shortly go with a wet/dry be alot better

If its for your 220, I would go with the FX-5. I have one for the same tank
and I cant say enough good things. Prices vary and look to be affordable based on the Internet prices I see. The FX5 should never be compared to the 404 series....yeah I know they are both made by Fuval, but its night and day.

I dont know what you could use for the 540 off the top of my head, but keep us posted when you get that far....
