Canister ?

I have a Magnum 350 POS Canister Filter. I am eventually going to replace with a behind tank sump/filter however for the time being since it barely moves any water could I plumb it to another pump running at a slightly higher GPH and just keep the canister umplugged?

Any ideas if this would work?

i dont recomend it sence canisters work on negative presure and pull water in and push it out if you force water in you can blow the seals this is from experiance not thery i woke up to alot of water on the floor thank god the tank didnt have any fish
