Is there any cannister filter that would be ideal for a reef tank? I dont want to set up a sump or refuge or the likes.. I dont have the space for it.. I was wondering if maybe the Eheim 2229 would do the trick?

consider making the move to a sump with a wet/dry. They're cheaper and easier to maintain in the long run, and will give you bettr control over your water quality
