I was wondering as when I have more room to design my 300g tank, I was wondering what you all out there are using currently when it comes to filtration.

With my monster Bass being 13nches up we al know the make allot of mess.

I wish I can do a Sump but due to space I decided to go canister.

Please le me know what size tank and filtration and what is your favorite

I will start:

2-220g Tanks using 2 FX5 on one and 2- FX6 on the other tank

If I had a choice a Sump would be easiest but I highly recommend for a FANTASTIC canister filter I say bigger is baddest - FX5 OR FX6 with monster bass in each tank, the water is clear

X2 I'm gonna pickup another fx5 for my 180 too. How often do you change your water when using 2 fx5 and how many bass do you have in the 180?

I'm in the process if setting up my new 180, it has dual overflows and dual returns. Each overflow is going to run into my sump and I'm going to hook up a 900 gph pump to each return, and I have my fx5 I'm hooking to it as well, may even hook up a UV if my buddy will sell me his

I am a addick when it coms to filtration. My thoughts around it is the more filtration the easier the maintenance of your tank.

Buy another FX5 or FX6 for your 180G tank. Your fish will thank you later.

My setups I have 5 Bass in each 220G tanks. I do a 20% water change weekly and filter cleanup every 3months and having two means the second filter I clean every 4monthss my biological is never effected
