I got a gobi dragon on Monday. My 50 fish acquarium has gravel for the bottom. Is is possible that he burrowed under the gravel? I moved the big decor also to look behind it and he is not there. He is pretty big around 8 or 9 inches. I have 8 other fish, three of them bottom feeders too. It makes me nervous that maybe he was abducted by a fish UFO?!!

I had one jump out of the tank last Thursday....found him dried up on the floor of my office the next morning. I would suggest checking on the floor of the entire room for him.

Now i had 2 but suddenly one day there was only one so if you look real hard through the decor and gravel then like the other guy said check the floor and along the wall cause they can get in between the carpet and wall or in the seam of the door to a closet so keep a eye open.

I found him! He went inside the cave of the decor where I always wanted him to go in the first place! Goodie! I have put in some frozen bloodworms inside it for him to eat and not have them stolen by my piggie fish that seem to get all the food. My other fish are too big to get inside the cave so he has some peace and quiet to enjoy his bloodworms. That was the last place that I looked because I wanted him to go in, it is usually the other way around as fish don't do what you want them to do or go where you want them to go. This Gobi realized that he needed a good hidey hole and I hope that he uses it all the time so I can feed him in there. If I put bloodworms in it all the time, I am sure he will know that is his dining and sleep area.

glad it worked out. If you want to bypass the other fish and feed him directly a turkey baster with bloodworms shot in the cave is a great way to do so.
