:nilly: Okay, i have had my little pipefish for a week now...people recommended me feeding her brine shrimp nauplii...well she hasnt been eating them...a friend of mine told me to try mysis shrimp...well she wont eat them either....I dont want to lose her, shes so precious..what should I try now? I dont think she is getting anything from my tank and I know that she isnt eating when im sleeping because i feed the eel in the morning and the baby fish mid-day. what should i try that i havent already try? please any ideas are more than welcome

How long has ur tank been established? do u have other fish with it, it might be competition, they usually eat cocopods witch naturally comes from ur tank when establsihed

the tank has been up and running for over a year now...the only other tank inhabitants are some fry in my small breeder net, and a snowflake eel. the eel only eats the krill and she never goes anywhere but her hidy hole in the clam shell and under her favorite rock. I have some xenia in there too, but it doesnt bother her...

the mysis shrimp were frozen. the brine shrimp nauplii were live, she swam right past them. where could i acquire live mysis shrimp? i went to petsmart and they didnt even have ghost shrimp...

I had a fw pipe once the way i got her to feed was by blowing flake directly at her with the turkey baster

Why not try freeze dried stuff like Brine shrimp? Or bloodworms. Pipefish need feeder fish.

Pipefish do not need feeder fish. I've gotten plenty of pipefish to eat live brineshrimp over the years. My suggestion is to just continue trying to feed live foods and all the good frozen foods you can find.
