canopy over 20 lbs for 55 gal bad or good?

so i build a canopy for my 55 gal tank (not counting the top piece) it a good 22-24 lbs should i place it on my tank or no??

is the weight well distributed over the entire tank?

yes it is there are 4 plates at every corner of the canopy to place on the tank

The canopy that I had on a 150g mustve weight about 60-70 pounds and it was alright.

Yeah should be fine if well distributed and the stand is able to hold everything and isnt unstable. Ive had my hood on my tank for 2 years and its well around 20-24lbs but the tank is well stable on top of a dresser...

the stand is iron steel but i trimed it with wood so it would look alot better
