as fas as the building of the sump i get that looks easy enough, but the part i don't understand is that it looks like all sumps are gravity fed via an overflow of some sort, and pump goes on the clean end of the sump to pump the water back to the tank....ok heres where you lose me....wouldn't the pump, pump the water out faster than it comes in causing the pump to run dry??? or does the inlet to the sump need to be below water level in the sump, so that the pump can draw it?? i don't understand how you equalize it so that it runs a constant loop......am i just over thinking or what?? if someone could please explain this part to me like i'm 2 it would be great
