For some reason i can't get the filter to start. The pump makes noise. All connections are made with the appropriate intakes and outakes in the tank. I primed it by sucking on the outake end. The filter was full of water, but the filter wouldn't pump. It makes noise. It doesn't leak anyone, its completely sealed on the connections also. Please tell me im doing something wrong, it shouldn't be this difficult to start. Thanks.

My suggestion is to drain all the water out of the filter and try again. Grab an empty pail. Suck on the output until the water starts filling the filter. Hold the output in the empty pail until the water flows freely and the air bubbles are gone. Hook up the spraybar or J-tube to the output hose. Now plug the power cord in & it should operate properly.

Thanks for your response. The problem was i used the full length of the hoses it came with. I cut off about 3-4 feet total and now it works fine. I didn't remember reading about hose length but now i do. Didn't cut them to fit cuz im getting a proper stand soon.
