I JUST PURCHASED A 5 INCH SILER ARROWANA. I CAN'T GET HIM TO EAT. I HAD A 13 INCH ONE IN MY TANK AND BELEIVE IT OR NOT MY CAT GOT INTO MY TANK AND HE JUMPED OUT. THE FIRST ONE ATE THE FIRST NIGHT I HAD HIM BUT THIS ONE, IT'S BEEN ALMOST 4 DAYS AND NOTHING. IM FEEDING THAT TANK FROZEN BRINE SHRIMP AT NIGHT AND PELLETS AND DEHYDRATED BRINE SHRIMP IN THE MORNING. ANY SUGGESTIONS????:

Try getting small feeders first ( minnows , guppies ) and fatten it up with those.
When its healthy enough ,you can then starve and wean it off non live foods.

i had the same problem and mine died... it wouldent eat shrimp/krill/pellets/flakes and wouldent even chase my feeders try babie guppies though.. im going to the fish store with my older brother tomorrow to get my damn money back

you can also try baby crickets...good luck!

I tie peices of shrimp to a fishing line (loosely) and imitate "live" feeders.
So far I've had 100% success with that method.

try krill
mine wouldn't hardly eat anything
dropped some krill in there and eats it up right now
good luck

if he's still not eating just wait..he'll have to eat eventually...try small feeders first, then maybe pellets and bf.bw :)

this is exactly what i do too. i even have the feeders in the cycled tank first before my new aro arrives, just to make him comfy in his new place
