i ended up buying her at fountains aquariums
i watched her and the others silvers for about 20 minutes. she was the biggest and feistiest, i didnt ask for a feeding demonstration because when i twiddled my fingers at the top of the tank she was first at the surface ready to be fed. If i can recall she had been there for a long time like since 2-3 incher which might explain why she was the largest. so i had the guy bag her up. when i got home i floated her for 15 minutes and let her lose into the 180. 20 minute later i tried feeding her and she took the food sticks like she was starving, the rest is history........
my silver gets moody and won't eat for a day or 2 ... sometimes he just waits an hour or so ...
If it goes more than several days - try some garlic extract ... I got some from a company called Kent - it was expensive - but it is good
I even use it for fishing! ... good stuff!
