I would throw in a couple of more females

10 gallons is not big enough for a swordfish, those get like 10 feet long.

Don't be a jerk, the guy said "swords" he never mentioned swordfish.

The female is getting a little aggressive with the male. Is that normal courting behavior?

If they are a male and female pair and the female is getting a bit nippy . It could be that she is already pregnant .

No big deal because a 10 gallon tank is enough room for them .

Worse case he will now avoid her . Have something in there like plastic bushy plant ,etc so when she gives birth most of the babies can hide .

swords are livebearers so the female stores sperm until she feels read to use it. then she lets it enter the ovary and in about a month it ruptures, releasing the young.

either enough time hasn't past yet or she isn't comfortable enough to have babies. does she have a gravid spot?

You might need more fish. A total of two males and six females is ideal for most livebearers. You usually need more than one male to spur competition and increase their breeding functions. At least get a few more females, maybe even one that's already impregnated.
