Cant keep GSP alive

My water is Tests great and my salinity is 1.030. He ate well the day before and when i got home from work getting ready to feed him i saw he was stuck to the filter

were they kept in all freshwater where you got it from?

She said they arrived in brakish water but she put him in freash water till i picked him up later that day and that was a almost two months ago. Its like he died cor no reason

Juzt to specify i had it two months after i bought it till it died yesterday

1.030 is waaaaay to high! 1.018-20 is perfect. I think that poor puffer was pickled!

Maybe he meant 1.003, which could potentially be too low. I have never been able to keep a gsp alive (I've had 2), the longest I've had one was 3 months, seems its hard to figure out the salinity on these guys, or maybe since mine always came from walmart they were mishandled previously.

A SG of 1.003 shouldn't kill a GSP.
There are definitely other factors going in in either the care or source of these puffer failures. Walmart is a poor source for any fish.

What size tank are you keeping these gsps in? What are the exact numbers for ammonia nitrite nitrates please.

He was in a 55 gal and i dont remeber what they were since he died a week ago
