Ive wanted to get a 55g setup for my BRO's room hes new to the game and wanted 4or5 yellow belly PS and rbps half&half. now ive never owed any kind of p's before my life so im no help to him when it come to this so dose any one if they can get along if we get them at 2 1/2'' each??? i dont think so but he thinks they will get along after a while

What exactly are yellow belly ps? If they are Terns or Piraya which are Pygos then yes you can, but a 55 is too small as these fish get very large! If they are Spilos then no you can not. Only one serra such as a spilo per tank and that is it! I think they only thing you can have in a 55 for life is a small serra such as an Irritan, Sanchezi, or a splilo/mac and maybe 3 RBPs.
i called them yellow bellys cause they look just like RBPs but they have yellow were the red is and they r a little more slivery
Terns get huge and a standard 55 gallon is only 12.5 inches wide. How do you expect a full grown healthy fish to turn around in a tank that size? A 75 gallon MAY work for a tern and two reds.
