Cantaloupe

I just cut up a fresh Cantaloupe. Can I give the rind to my plecos? I'm not sure considering it has a different texture shell then say a watermelon.

Ive tried actual cantaloupe, they love it but i tell ya, its messy and clouds the tank, same as sweetcorn/corn on cob

Considering I couldnt get a straight answer I decided against it.. sorry guys lol
