Cany any fw fish take on an electric eel?

Yes...Electric Eels are actually Knife Fish and not Eels. Since they grow up to 8' there isn't much that hunt them. And their electrical shock does a pretty good job of protecting them. In fact, they're the ones that hunt smaller fish by discharging to shock their prey.
