5 days is a short time in context of a fish settling into a environment id say give him a couple weeks but if ur desperate u could try garlic soaked food ive heard it can tempt fish into eating although never resorted to myself

+1 I generally don't worry about fish over 2-3" until a month or two goes by and they haven't eaten.

It could simply be adjusting, as stated, or could have been fed live before you got it, so it may take a bit of a fast to get it to try a prepared feed. I never had a significant problem with that. Mine sooner or later started taking what was offered - pellets and thawed fish.

Capapretum are a also a nervous, skittish, easily stressed and frightened fish and cope with that by bolting full speed until they hit a wall, which, if allowed to go on, will eventually kill them. If the fish acts stressed or is obviously bullied what not, it won't feed much or often and the very act of opening a lid and throwing in feed will make it bolt.

What flow do you have on the tank?
whilst I don't think it needs to be excessive, I find my fila sits in the current slowly swimming into it or drifting into it with little effort but then can drift in and out and swims around more when I feed.

Damn man he is looking skinny as heck. Tried many different things even turned the heater up a little still wont eat. It's been almost 11 days sense I got him
