Is there any literature or websites with info on captive breeding lungfish?

Is it possible? Does it relieve pressure from wild collecting? Is it economical? Are any / all commercially available Protopterus spp likely to be from captive bred stock?

Thanks

I recently read that there is some farming of a couple species. I don't believe there is evidence that any are threatened, but some come from dangerous areas where I doubt much scientific inventory is taken.

There are breeding in indonesia. They breed mostly protopterus annectens annectens, protopterus dolloi and also protopterus aethiopicus congicus. They do artificial insemination. Lungfish are actually abundant in the wild. It's the drought and the area itself that keeps them from being caught. During drought they build a cocoon underground and can be hard to locate. During rainy season, they are actually common in fish market for human consumptions. Some area in east african are not accessible due to rebels.

I found a paper on lungfish farming in Uganda for food:

Interesting and a bit sad perspective to know that our valued pets play an important part in their native habitat as food for humans. Having kept one I really couldn't eat a lungfish. But I don't live in Uganda. Probably just as weird for someone who earts them to think of them being kept as ornamental pets.

The name of the paper referenced above is:
