Hi. The owner of my lfs called me yesterday and said he had some fishes for me that he couldnt house. He had gotten them as a trade in.

I have had both c. Spectabilis and c. Myersii before and they dosent look like none of those species. Can someone please help me identify this fishes.20180810_172045.jpg 20180810_172024.jpg 20180810_172020.jpg

It has the double spot of C. kraussii, but I've never seen juvies before ...

Thats what i suspected it to be but cant say for sure. They are maybe 13-16cm right now. Ghe bigger one of the two fishes shimers in blur like an spectabilis but dont have the same eye color as an spectabilis.

There are only three species so if it’s a caquetaia, it’s likely a kraussi. Looks a little off though. Can you take better pics?

Yes i will try to take some pics this afternoon when i go to my aquarium facility:)

It does have the mid body blotch, and the blotch in the upper half of the caudal which would indicate krausii, (if truly caquetaia) but (maybe at a larger size) the blotch on the shoulder which is also a kraussi indicator isn't shown.

The other pic you provide has none of those indicators, but it may just be stressed, and the lack of substrate may cause it to wash out .
A better clearer side, and less angled view would help

I supect the bigger one of them to be a spectabilis and the one with more black markings an krausii. Its hard to get a good picture of the suspected spectabilis because i moved him to my pool for killing an 25cm clownknife and beating the smaller one up pretty bad over one night. The smaller one is still with my rays but is always under some wood. 153434338516446884563.jpg 15343434962751743192144.jpg 20180815_163203.jpg
