This newly formed pair has put down a large plaque of eggs. I would estimate that there are in excess of 1000. And this female is only about 15 cm (6 ") TL. For best viewing results, use the HD (1080p) setting.

Thanks. Once they hatch, I plan to pull just a few and raise them for the next generation. I don't think the spawn will last very long in their tank.

Wow very nice pair. I recently purchased wild krausii from LPS (6" & 4") but unable to sex. All markings vety semilar on both fish. Any distinguishable markings etc to determine sex?

I find females are smaller than males of the same age, their dorsal and anal fins aren't as pointed and large, and they seem a little 'shorter' in the body. But having said that, there is little sexual dimorphism. Venting can be tried. (Male o - o , Female o - O)
