Can anyone confirm is this fish is infact Caquetaia Myersi? Does it appear deformed or is this common in this species?

I've only seen a few juvies in person, but yeah that looks like a deformity to me.

Thanks for the response DP. Bummer on the deformity :wall: I thought so because I have two and the other does not have this dip under the dorsal fin... But it is a Caquetaia Myersi correct? It's approx 2.5" to 3" in length.

Justin, They are WC Myersi and that one when it was smaller actually got stuck on the intake of a power head I used to keep n that tank..I don't know how long it was stuck there but I believe that is what caused that...it's back was all torn up in that spot...

Thanks Damien! I guess I should have just PM'ed you. Thank you again for the fish. The same thing happened to my big BGK but it never recovered.

No problem...its always good to get other opinions and observations. Are those guys doing ok? I know Felix sure does miss his girl...btw that gold sev, her name is Ellen..She was a true rescued sev, she was barely alive when I got her, if you notice on her nose area there looks like something bit her there? Well this guy had her in with a huge 14" Jag, a Bichir, and a Red Devil...she literally was almost dead...but she is a survivor and very tough...I know she is in good hands with you. If you ever want to get rid of her, don't hesitate in asking because I will take her back ok?

If I ever move her, she's all yours brother, but chances are slim, the wife LOVES her... They are all going great. I got rid of the big L240 to make room for the Rotkeil and HP to go into the 225. The rest of the sevs are going in the 125. Again Damein, I can't thank you enough. These are all very cool fish.
