Planning to get 2 pieces
Caquetaia myersi cichlid.

planning to get a male and female, their size wold be about 5 inches. will they eat 3 inch clown loaches?
Also can i add them to my datnoid tank? i currently have 2 7 inch dats with some clown loaches, 3 inch being the smallest and the dats dont touch the loaches.

thinking if i can add the myersis into the tank and they'll leave the loaches alone?
also can i add them as tankmate to arowanas?

will they eat pellets?
 
If it's anything like my specatbilis they aren't hard to get eating anything really took to everything no problems I really want these fish

Yes they are aggressive and fight with each other and fish that look similar. I would expect them to go after your datnoids.

If you want a male and female get at least 6, or more if you can afford it. They grow pretty slow though. At 1 year, mine is only 5".
 
oh... thanks, so most likely theyll kill each other when only 2, My datnoids are 8 inchers.
those that are available are 5-6 inches.
each cost about 25$
I'm, in manila, everything is cheaper here i ithink.
 
i went ahead and bought a female and a male.
The male i added into a tank with Datnoids and arowana,
the female is also with an arowana,

they seem to have little courage?
my male just hangs around the cirner of the tank.

since they will kill each other i cant have them in the same tank :(
any tips?
