my mom sent me this today,must have been worried I would get my purse stolen since I dont think car jackers steel 4 banger pick ups.

Just last weekend on Friday night, we parked in a publicparking area. As we drove away,​

I noticed a sticker on therear window of the car. When I took it off after I got home,[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
it was a receipt for gas. Luckily my friend told me not to stop as it could be ​

someone waiting for me to get out of the car. ​

Then we received this email yesterday:[FONT=&quot][/FONT]"WARNING FROM POLICE: BEWARE OF PAPER ON THE BACK WINDOW OF YOUR VEHICLE--​

NEW WAY TODO CARJACKINGS (NOT A JOKE)[FONT=&quot]"[/FONT][FONT=&quot][/FONT]
Heads up everyone! Please, keep this circulating. ​

You walkacross the parking lot, unlock your car ​

and get inside. Youstart the engine and shift into reverse.[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
When you look into the rearview mirror to back out of your[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
parking space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
of the rear window. So, you shift into park, unlock your[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
doors, and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
whatever it is) that is obstructing your view. When you reach[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
the back of your car is when the carjackers appear out[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
of nowhere, jump into your car and take off. They practically[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
mow you down as they speed off in your car.[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car.[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
So now the carjacker has your car, your home address, ​

yourmoney, and your keys. ​

Your home and your whole identity are now compromised![FONT=&quot][/FONT]
BEWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED.[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back window, just[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
drive away. Remove the paper later. And be thankful that you[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
read this e-mail. I hope you will forward this to friends and[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
family, especially to women. A purse contains all kinds of[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
personal information and identification documents, and you[FONT=&quot][/FONT]
certainly do NOT want this to fall into the wrong hands.​

Damn, i use to live in Newark, and I'd get txt messages about gang initiations near the projects and all the crazy schemes people would pull off.

Once i ran into this guy, who apparently was a "mute", he would hand out a piece of paper explaining his condition and his need of help. Of course I told him i was not of luxury to help him. Several weeks later I would hear how he and another shady character, who would stay and walk in the background, would mug people as soon as they pulled out their wallets.
