hi

iam at college to become a car mechanic ,i have about 5 weeks at college then iam done. i will have level 2 VRQ and i am lookin for a job , i have been lookin in the uk and ireland and all want level 3 an i can't get that untill i have a job or expericne in garagaes, is the any country were they need car mechanic , does anybody know? thanks.

no never work on rotaty , but i do understand the rotaty engine, they can't be a big different working on them like service cars.

Good luck matey, my girlfriend's a mechanic and her garages are struggling during the recession.

Have you thought about checking the Aussie skilled occupations list and moving there? i'm sure engine mechanic's always on there! My cousin runs an engineering business out there and they're struggling to find people.

have you any experience with diesel fitting?
if so look to the north east. Vickers makes military vehicles. even if you dont have experience they may offer you an apprenticeship to top up your experience.

i have no experience in a garage. iam going around york uk were i live and see if i can work for nothing and get some experience. i will ask my tutor at college about vikers and do you know if they have a website. thanks

i am thinking about moving to a different contry and what is the life like in aussie and the house price and rent. If they have any jobs going there for a level two mechanic then i will move, do you know what qualifications they need to become a mechanic in aussie. In the uk if that block thing come out all independence garages will go and it will be all dealers , so less garages. thanks

i do know that the fish are expensive there, so i could always bring some from the uk if it is cheaper and i will get some for you too

your best bet is to start at the bottom... find a crap hole place and work your way up...
