carapo knife

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
they are rare considering that barely any come alive through shipping. order it as a singal. they are worth $70. I have a 7" and the atore has a 12" G. carapo that I will get soon

ask the store to keep it for a week to see if its healthy. my lfs gets them from florida and they always come in healthy. the 12" one at the lfs has a personality! he keep on trying to eat a 1" prehistoric monster fish that I also wish to get

They can reach at least 24" but that is rare.

I'd snap it up in a heartbeat. Very hardy once they acclimate. They'll eat out of your hand too, atleast mine did. Had to give him away due to moving
A fish worth running out to buy a 70g tank for IMO.

ive already paid for him and the lfs is going to keep him in a quarantine tank for me he's about 4 inches give or take a half. oh and i paid 25$ canadian for him as well. how long would i be able to keep him in a 40 gallon breeder 36x18x15.

Thx Chris.

Not very fast growers, your safe!

well i took him home last night and within an hour of being let out of the bag i was hand feeding him live zebra danios. he also comes out during the day and cruises around the tank chasing my bettas.

mine is in a 10 gallon selection of the 55, and sits in his woodcave with a 7" synodontis eurpterus. the foot long carapo at the store was $20, but I gave the store a 5" lace synodontis so know hes down to $12. the one at the store has no caves and the lfs strinsgs long shop lits over several 20 gallons, so the tank is bright. he stays behind the ugf tube all day. I plan to clear out a 40 tall, and move my 7 inch carapo to it, then get the 12 inch carapo, put him in his own section filled with plants and caves to let it calm down, then move it to the cichlid 55. You think a carapo would be alright with a 2" JD, 2.5" red devil, 9-10" king kong blood parrot, 5" bicher and a pleco?
oh, I think I am also going to take the other 55, stalk it with plants, and put scools of centipede and glass knives in it. :D
