The carbon connection is absolutely without basis in fact, but that doesn't keep it from being repeated over and over! : )

thanks. just wanted to make sure because i plan on getting a carbon bottle for water changes as i am always doing them and hate having to buy dechlorinator all the time.

Make sure you don't have chloramine. I can be more difficult to filter out.
