Carbon bags?

I have a AC110 and so does my friend. He has a 46 with some clown loaches and his small thin bar. I have mine in my 75 that is cycling. My friend doesn't use his carbon bag, at the moment mine is not in either. Will this effect the cycling process?

Removing the carbon bag wont effect cycling in any way. I always keep a few on hand in case I need to remove meds from the water but thats the only time I run carbon in any of our tanks. Extra bio-material is a lot better choice for the extra space just make sure it's contained in a fiter bad to make servacing a lot easier.
