Carbon in Fliter

Should I take the carbon insert out of my canister filter? Will it take out all the nutrients and fertilizers in the water? Help please.

IME,having carbon in a planted tank is fine.It does not remove ferts,or anything else your plants need.

its a great debate. since there easy way to test this. most planted people dont use carbon. after 2 weeks its not active any more anyways. if its been in there 2 week its basically turned into bio media. you could leave it or take it out and replace it.
