That would depend on what your local water is like. Carbon wont remove clorimines and it's an extra maintaince step.
 
I don't think it could hurt, but probably not necessary.
 
hmm li the only way we will get the best answer is too just add it and deal with the extra maintenance I'm up in the air about it I was just gonna do the sediment filters carbon was thought of but never desided cause of the autodose of prime I might just add it for the hell of it can't hurt anything technicall running the carbon you can use lil less prime???
 
I have heard too much carbon causes hole n head. You should use it as needed for periodic removal but not always.
 
this is for prior to the tank this is for a auto water changer...
