what do you use and why? pros and cons?

reading about hith disease and it could be due to carbon.

lets have your opinions guys and gals..........

You don't use carbon on permanent basis. It is disposable. I prefer to use carbon only to remove meds, tannins and other contaminants. That's all it is to me.

how about filter floss?

what setup have u got in your filter?

I run a wet dry on my 180 gallon and always use filter floss as mechanical media. When I want to do alittle extra water polishing I use poly fitler under the filter floss. Carbon I use as stated only occasionally.
