I just treated my tank for gill flukes. In fact this is the last of two treatments. The directions for "Parasite Clear" do not say anything about carbon. I am understanding that the meds wear off after 48 hrs. Does that mean it's gone and I dont need carbon?

I'd suggest a month long treatment depending on which medication you used. That way you for sure get all of it.
I used coppersafe though.

Carbon takes out meds, So if you have just treated your fish with the carbon in then the medicine was probably taken out of the water befor it cured the fish. No carbon when medicating. Put carbon back in when done with treatment to take out medicines still in the tank.

I have never had carbon in my tank....I am asking if I should put it in after medicating with PARASITE CLEAR. I have come to find out that I do not have to add carbon. Parasite clear breaks down naturally and subtly and is good for the aquarium.
