Hi. I have a fluval external filter which contains a bag of carbon in granual form. I recenlty took this out when i had a case of white spot. Can i place this bag of granuals in the tank instead of the filter without doing harm to my fish?

Why would you want to put the carbon back into your tank? The only thing carbon is good for is for removing meds from your water. Is that what ur using it for? I would put it back into your filter, you want water to flow through the media. You using the same bag of carbon or is this a new bag? I hope you know that carbon doesn't last long and it will start to leech back what it took in.
