i am looking to add carbon to my filter. Has anyone used the seapora carbon pads instead of standard carbon beads in a bag?

You don't need carbon. Save your money and put it to other useful things

A lot of modern filters come with the little bag full of carbon so a lot of people mistakingly think that they have to use it. I agree with the above. There's loads of stuff out there about carbon and the pros and cons of using it in the aquarium. Have a look at it and ask yourself a simple question...do i really need this stuff in my set up? It really is just a personal choice with carbon.
