I will be going back this week, hopefully to work with Mitch and some venomous a bit as well as taking care of everything else

That looks amazing, what a job to have, amazing!

You say rescue, wow did people keep those beautiful animals as pets?

Could not imagine that here in the uk....

From the pictures i would be a little worried Makoto would escape through that hole..lol

Lol this is what i do on my DAYS OFF from my real job! :P
I actually work at petco... days off I volunteer at this place :)

Yes the majority of these animals were once people personal pets and were rescued from bad situations or shared through a zoo. Pretty sure the florida panther came from a litter of zoo babies

And makoto is definitely to big to get through that little hole, thats just where we put the meat through for him to eat

yea i know but what a great volunteer job, we would never have something like that over here.

although u wouldnt catch me near the fox lol

im just petrified of foxes lol

grew up in the country and just saw too much damage caused by them...and urgh mangy ones
x

Awesome animals! The SPCA close to my school is like this, a bunch of exotic animals that people thought would be good pets (Bengal tiger, panther, ring-tail lemurs, river otters, kangaroo), usually rescued from apartments.

The fox is really pretty! How long did it take to build up enough trust to touch the Florida panther?

not long at all lol they have had her since she was a little cub and she is one of the animal ambassadors they take on educational tours so she is very "tame" and lovable. But she is still a big cat and still very dangerous. one of the other volunteers was playing with her once and when he went to leave the cage she decided he wasn't done playing yet and grab him around the waste with her paws, sliced him open on both sides heh
