What is the best color substrate for caribe piranhas? I'm getting 3 1" juveniles for my 65 gallon.

I like natural looks, I would go with red/orange colored river sand with some drift wood and some nice bushy plants and afew large rocks. The only thing is the sand might get kicked up alot when they freakout. For my ray tank I have 3mm grain sand/gravel. It can get kicked up but drops right back down.
so I think your best bet is 3mm grain, it won't cloud up your tank when they spazout.

I don't see why that wouldn't work, it might take more time cleaning it knowing its coming from a hardware store. Just don't get playsand. Ill kill your filters and will harden and clump over time. Personally, a tank that size you wouldn't really spend that much getting substraght from a lps. I only spent $100 to cover a 6x2 foot area at 2-3 inches. You also wouldn't have to d*ck around with mud, dirt and other sh*t that might be in their with the gravel at the hardware store. My parents got gravel from lows for their garden and you couldn't even see the stones with all the mud on them. But it's your call.

Yeah I might just get clean pet store gravel.

I like pool filter sand, easy to clean and shows color pretty nicely
