CaribSea Substrate Decision

Depends on what you are going for. If you want a Fish only the Oolite would be a fine substrate, especially for the sand sifters because it is so fine. If you would like to do a FOWLR or even some Corals down the road, the Aragonite generally has a good amount of calcium in it.

All in all, in the long term, it doesn't matter. The Oolite would be easier on your sand sifters. There are plenty of beautiful healthy reef tanks that are bare bottom, so the Aragonite is not at all necessary.

Basically, it doesn't matter which you go with :)

If you like the Oolite better have no fear going with it. :)

Hope this helps.

you all are going to get me back into salt with the questions.... haha
