So my pair has finally successfully laid and fertilized and I know have quite a handful of tadpoles in there which I do not know how to care for. I've read that regular ground fry food for fish is a suitable starter food. That's cool, I have a bottle or two of that.

I guess my question is.. should I be getting the parents outta there? Do they tend to be the naughty type of parent that snacks on their young? If so, please message ASAP so I can get to it. Thanks in advance. Any other pointers are also appreciated.

Don't they eat things like fish? If so, they'll probably eat the tadpoles, so you should remove them.

Mine reproduced recently as well, I would suggest removing the tadpols heck, I removed the eggs. I read that when young they will only eat prey that moves. I put some lettace in a jar of water in the sun for about 48 hours and gave them the green water. They eat the microbes living in the breen water. Mine ended up dieing though, I ran out of green water and by the time I had more it was too late. They survived almost 2 weeks, maybe more.

i have a pair of these toads, and although they do occasionaly make a half-hearted attempt to eat a fish theyre far too lazy to bother usualy, not managed to breed them yet tho.

my male ( i think is about the size of a ciggarette packet, how big do they get??

Congrats!

Next time, find out before hand.
