Soon, I’ll like to experiment a dry start aquarium. And instead of buying a few pots or a mat of a carpet plant, what about using seeds since I would think it’ll be faster. So far I found no true carpet plant seeds(dwarf hairgrass, baby tears, Monte Carlo, or others). Do any of these plants flower so you can get seeds from them, or only sends off runner?

Hey, I was wondering the same today. I recommend not getting any of those “magic grow” seeds. Although they grow well, it’s usually a species like hygrophila which isn’t a true carpet plant. Within a few months it will grow vertical than horizontal. Much easier to get montecarlo or dwarf hair grass and using the dry start method.
