Hi all,
I have a carpinitis that will not eat. I've had him for a week and a half. Before i got him he lived in a 37 gallon tall divided with another carp and a syno cat. I asked the guy I got him from what he fed him and he said F.D. krill presoaked. He also said that he never ate from the top, and he had him since he was 1" now he's 6".
So now he's in a 55 gallon with a 5" albino pleco with min. decor, just like his tank was before. water quality is superb, ph 7.5 ammo
0 nitrite 0 nitrate 5ppm temp 80*F.
I've tried Frozen(every flavor imaginable), nls, hikcari gold(floating), omega one med. pellets, shrimp pellets, freash shrimp, nightcrawlers, crickets, meal worms, F.D. krill, and still nothing.
I've kept chiclids for right at 20 years now and i've never had a cichlid that wouldn't eat atleast one of these items. I wonder if adding some giant danio's could help him feel more at home, and help him to start eating.
Any suggestions you guys/gals may have will be greatly apreciated.
Thanks,
David
