My Carpinthe have about 1000 eggs they laid last night. Im super excited. I think im going to leave them in the 180 with the other fish and see what happens. The mother and father seem to have that end of the tank on lockdown. I will post pics as soon as I can upload them.

Just curious... if I get these eggs to hatch and get some fry raised what are they worth?

I've never heard of a Carpinthe before... do you have a scientific name? Google doesn't yield any viable results.

In any case, that's an awesome looking fish. Congrats.

Herichthys carpintis Escondido. Green Texas Cichlid. Escondido is the catch location (carpintis pattern varies between different locations). I was wondering what a carpinthe was aswell ...lol.

What did you pay for them? That'll be what they're worth if you grow them to a similar size, if people want them.
