I've never been one for a species only tank and I've been in search of a good combination to be housed together on black gravel. A mellow Carpintis Vontehillo pair and a group of Bifas Rio Chacamax seem to add a simple blue yellow red combination that works for me on black gravel. I tried to get a few pictures of the color combination.

Thanks, hopefully the combo will last a while. The Carpintis are ready to breed any time. I hope they wont require the whole tank to do so.

Very cool looking fish! I love the color schemes together! Texas are definitely one of my favorite fish but finding something to help compliment them is even better. Good luck with the breeding!
