So it's been about 6 weeks since I got these guys and now looking back at some pics I can see they've put on some size and healed up nicely. (they were a little ratty when I got them).

I have since moved them into their own grow out tank and have been able to feed them better.

They seem pretty shy still but may just need more time to settle in.

Both beautiful, keep up the good rehab they're coming along very nicely.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time until they're more confident and ruling the tank. If your Redtail shark is bossy/territorial as they can often be, that might be making them more shy at this time, the table might likely be turned when the Carpintis get bigger. Look fwd to more updates.

Thank you!

I have them in a 60g grow out tank for the time being with no other tankmates. They've been busy hunting down a few leftover ramshorn snails I had in there from another project.

I want to get my hands on a bigger tank for them as they grow out - I'm entertaining the idea of an acrylic tank but well see. If I can't find a good deal, might go glass again.

It's been a while and thought I'd post an update.

Things are going good and they have put on some size. Especially the one I think is a male.

No fighting at all, the only issue I see is the male eating all of the food before the female. She doesn't seem to ever go after anything food wise, instead she picks up the crumbs from the sand...lol those pics are of them eating shrimp pellets.

I removed most things to give them space. I'm currently trying to grow some floating water wisteria on top and trying to sink an old log cave for them.
