Carpintis vs. live food

Just wondering, who've managed to feed their carpintis live food? And what sorts?

Do panfish worms count? If so... Then yes I have.
They are as live as I feed.

Mine ate some Platys and a German Ram, it was an unintended snack.

@Calihawk: Wut? Was just wondering what they eat is all. Mine doesn't even attempt to eat live food, and I found out earlier that someone else doesn't either. So I asked my friends, and none of theirs ate either. Thought it was weird, hence, question.

@chrisb01: Not asking about a specific fish in particular.

@Regalblue: Sure, I guess.

@Chris: Interesting... were the platies intended for your carpintis? I guess what I'm asking is do they actively chase the platies to consume them everytime they see one?

Took down my community tank and added to my 125g CA/SA community. Would trying to see if my fish would leave them alone which all but my male Carpintis. He would eat as many as he could fit then would do the same when he was hungry again. The Ram lasted awhile but eventually disappeared from the tank.

Interesting. That's what I thought should be happening when you put the lil buggers with carpintis. Guess Australian carpintis are just weird then. XD

Depends on the individual fish. Have you seen Anubiscott's Midas? He kept him in with community fish and he never touched them.

Mhm that's what I thought, especially with my two carpintis, but then yeah, earlier today I realized that it was the same story with many other peeps out there so was like 'wth' and yeah...
