Makin a Poo
Over the past few days they have basically rearranged the substrate into a hot mess. I got a text from my daughter saying they were citing all type of crazy in the corner & when I got home I looked & this is what I saw!

....

My question is, what should I expect over the next few days? If thee bad boys hatch I'm gonna try& see how I do at raising the fry.. I'm gonna set-up another tank tomorrow to try & grow them out.. I'm thinking of beginning with a sponge filter & trying to feed the fry golden pearls from kens fish.. I'd def appreciate any tips, advice or tricks of the trade.

Thanks
Jason.

The eggs will hatch between 24 and 48 hours depending on temp, and the parents will stash the wrigglers in a secure spot. The wrigglers do not eat, but live off nutrients in their yolk sack. In another day or 2 the wrigglers will become free swimming and form a school, and you will need to begin feeding, as many small meals per day as you can. I use newly hatched brine shrimp until they are large enough to eat pureed pellets, but there are commercially fry foods available.
If used, start hatching brine shrimp eggs just after the fry become wrigglers, algae growth is also a great source of constantly supplied first food for grazing.

Using a pipette or turkey baster, food can be directed right into the school of fry, for maximum usage by the fry
