Carpintis?

Is this a Carpinitis? I'm not sure. The vertical stripes are throwing me off. He/She is about 2 inches, maybe.

Looks like a female carpintus to me (at this point anyway)
Here is a female I had, it was about 4" at the time the pic was taken.

Looks like one, could possibly also be a hybrid of some sort with carpintis in the mix

In my experience, when they are little like that, Carpintis will often show those black bars on the back half of their body. The black bands go away as they hit the 2-3 inch mark.

These bands, and darker colors are also prevalent when guarding eggs and fry.
The 10-12" male below was raising fry at the time of the pic.
