I got curious as i never realised that the members of this forum would be into cars as well lol. So basically, anyone here got any projects underway? Any restorations going on? What have we all got ay? Or what would we like to have?

Im plannin to save about $15-20k to buy a rolling shell of an LC GTR XU-1 Torana. This is a pic of an LJ GTR XU-1 thats going for somewhere between that $15-20k mark. (the yellow one)
2nd pic is an LC GTR, not an XU-1.. ahh..dreams... Good vid of a restoration of one too! Heck, i love em, puttin more pics!

Last pic is an LX A9X, SLR 5000 that was modified for racing basically. Was wondering, you peoples over in America don't have these and may not have seen them before so - What do you think of them? The 5000 means its a 5L engine, i don't know what that is in CI sorry. These are from the glorious 70's. (Which i missed out on by..20 years..) Standard SLR 5000's don't have the lump on the bonnet either

You're right, never heard of them, but there are a lot of cool cars we never see or hear of. Hell, the past few years we've been making "meh" Aus-to-American recreations, trying to pull the blinds over people's eyes. First, they tried to bring back the GTO by rebadging, but defacing the Monaro. Now they've put out the G8, a fairly stripped down Commodore. I LOVE the styling from over there, the cars you showed included. All of the Aus branches of our domestics are so far ahead of the game in styling.

Lol, unfortunetly the title doesn't seem to merit this thread much interest in anyone elses eyes :(

Valiant chargers, are they over there in the US? Wondering price differences, cause E-49 chargers are worth alot here..
 
I will get some pics of my husband's and my project to post. Its a '63 shoebox Nova, in pieces right now as we build a straight axle front end and prepare to do altered wheel wells. It will be a "nostalgia" gasser.

this is my first post. just joined tonight. yes i noticed a lot of other enpassioned predatory fish keepers happened also to be car fanatics.

Ive got 700hp wide fender BCNR33 GTR, 400hp supra targa, wide body track 3.4 ITB nsx in progress, light tuned exige S240 ... but the fish have got my attention these days.

Wow, what a nice collection. Which one would you say is the best performing or fastest?
Many people in the U.S. would love to get their hands on older generations of GTR.
What do you think of the new one? They are insanely fast.
