My cascade 1000 filter has a white seal or gasket that connects the tubes from the media baskets to the pump, this seal is broken and can no longer hold the water. I can't find this little plastic part anywhere and I wanted to know if anyone has had a similar experience or knows what to do. Thanks.

Go to the Penn Plax website and either look up the exploded parts breakdown to get a part number or contact them directly. You might even get someone nice enough to cover it under warranty!
